Process

Quote

Transforming a space requires a careful and well-defined approach. For this reason, our process begins with budgeting, where we conduct a detailed analysis of the project to identify the client's specific needs and technical challenges. Next, we assess the condition of the surfaces, measure the areas, and discuss the best solutions and materials. Finally, this step ensures that the budget is accurate and transparent, with no future surprises.

Wood Lacquering

One of the highlights of this project was the wood lacquering process. To achieve such an elegant and uniform finish, we applied a technique involving several steps. First, all wooden surfaces — wardrobes, doors, and skirting boards — were sanded to remove imperfections and old paint. Next, we applied a high-quality primer to seal the wood, and finally, several coats of polyurethane paint, sanding gently between each coat for a flawless result. In this way, lacquering not only improves the aesthetics but also increases the strength and durability of the wood.

Interior and Exterior Repair and Painting

No renovation project would be complete without interior repairs and painting. So, after lacquering, we focused on the walls. In this first stage, we repaired all cracks, holes, and imperfections. This phase is essential to ensure a smooth and uniform surface. Next, we applied high-quality primers and paints, chosen in consultation with the client, to create the desired atmosphere in the flat. Thanks to this, the choice of light and bright colours helped to enlarge the space and enhance the lacquering work, giving the flat a completely renovated and sophisticated look.

CHALLENGE

The main challenge was to transform an apartment with an outdated look, which had dark wood furniture and walls in need of renovation. Given this scenario, the goal was to modernise the space, making it brighter, more functional and visually appealing, without compromising its integrity.

The lacquering of woodwork (such as wardrobes, skirting boards, and doors) was a critical step. This is because lacquering requires meticulous surface preparation, which is essential to ensure a smooth, flawless finish, and which in turn requires time and a rigorous process. In fact, any flaw in the preparation would result in a poor-quality finish, detracting from the overall aesthetics.

SOLUTION

The lacquering solution involved a multi-step method. To begin with, we carefully sanded all surfaces to remove varnish and imperfections. Next, a special primer was applied, which is essential for the paint to adhere perfectly to the wood and to prevent the finish from chipping over time. Finally, several coats of polyurethane paint were applied, sanding between each coat to achieve a smooth and even finish.

At the same time, repairing and painting the walls solved the problems of wear and tear and cracks, transforming the worn walls into smooth, perfect surfaces. In addition, the choice of light colours for the walls matched perfectly with the white lacquered wood, resulting in an apartment that feels more spacious and full of light.

Final Result

The application of high-performance, moisture-resistant primers and paints was the final step in revitalising the aesthetics of the house, resulting in a space with a durable and visually impeccable finish. Above all, this work demonstrates the importance of in-depth technical analysis to solve problems at their root, thereby ensuring that the beauty of the final paintwork is supported by a healthy structure.
